CNN is now running a story about some strange lights that were spotted in the skies over Arizona several years ago.
The anchor said that they "may have been UFOs" and that "we don't know what they were".
Um, UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object.
Are these things unidentified? Were they flying? Were they objects? Yes? Then, by definition, UFOs. Simple as that.
No, I'm not trying to go X-Files on you guys. I'm just annoyed by the insistence on not calling something a UFO unless it is demonstrated to be an alien ship, which makes no freaking sense to me. Yeah, I can be bitchy about grammar.
Besides, if we know it's an alien ship, then it's identified, right? IFO?
edit: Now they're talking about cloud seeding. "This is sodium chloride, basically salt." No, it's exactly salt. *sigh* It may be time to find something else to watch.
