November is a busy time for writing. There is the ever-popular NaNoWriMo, and there is the lesser known, but saner, NaBloPoMo. National Blog Posting Month.
Yeah, I'm doing NaBloPoMo.
I had a hard time deciding how to go about it. Last year, I just posted about my life, or politics, or something I read or see on television, or about having nothing to post. Since that is really the whole point of this blog, that has a lot going for it. It is also the easiest thing for me to write about.
On the other hand, I have wanted to play with fiction. There is a complex world I have created to write about, and I was thinking about writing posts that delve into that world. I was thinking I could thirty entries describing Conroje, or maybe writing a few scenes as well. Either way, it would help me work on some of the details, and would give me a chance to share some of what I've been thinking about.
Anyway, I finally decided what I am going to do this month.
Both.
This journal will be business as usual, while I will be using my GreatestJournal (same name) to write about Conroje this month. I have added my GJ to my links list.
I may end up writing as much as some of the NaNoWriMo people.
So, here goes.

And November is over. No more NaBloPoMo entries for another eleven months. That's a relief, although I'm already planning on doing it again next year, maybe even starting on time or linking up with one of the websites. I'm such a sucker for the potential of new readers.
Those of you who did NaNoWriMo - how did you do? I still think I will have to do that some day.
The biggest lesson of NaBloPoMo? My life is so boring.
Take today for instance. The highlight of my day was taking my car in for its annual inspection. For those of you who don't live in Virginia - every car here has to go through a basic safety inspection every year. I got to spend nineteen minutes on my dealership's snazzy customer lounge. They have a play area for young children that is walled off to contain the noise. They have a TV with a really big screen (tuned to a soap opera, of course). They have a computer with high-speed internet. I got to see about four percent of my friends list while waiting.
Yesterday I changed my default icon and added some new ones. Woohoo. Well, I found it fun.
Now I can go back to posting when something actually happens.
Just in time for the worst of the holiday season.
I'm sure I'll be writing soon.
